245 Sub Inspector cadets Passing out at KEPA

The passing out Parade of 27th batch Sub-Inspector Cadets of Kerala Police was conducted at Kerala Police Academy on 21/03/2015. Shri. Ramesh Chennithala Hon’ble Minister for Home and Vigilance was the Chief Guest received salute and inspected the passing-out parade. This is the first batch of 245 direct recruits of sub inspectors, who were given training under the revised syllabus including threats like Maoist insurgence. They are experts in commando operations and scuba diving. This is first time in the history state police that such special field-level officers being inducted in to the force. The recruits were undergone a 25 day commando training in at TamilNadu Police Academy. The elite force, who took on the slain forest brigand Veerappan, has also provided training for these batch. The has been trained with coastal security at eight coastal police stations in the state. It has also been trained in self-contained underwater breathing apparatus by the Indian Navy
