Green Academy


The Green Academy Project was launched by Shri. Shivraj Patil Hon’ble Union Home Minister by Planting a coconut plant on 18th July 2005 in the presence of Shri.Raman Srivasthava IPS DGP, Kerala. 300 Coconut plants and around 2000 Ashoka plants were planted along with this.

Nakshatra Vanam (Trees of the zodiac)

Nakshthra Vanam was the project implemented by Shri. Suresh Rajpurohit IPS, Inspector General of Police Training & Director Kerala Police Academy on the dawn of 67th Independence day of our nation.
As astrology denotes each plant in our Nakshathra Vanam which is planted in front of Kerala Police Academy Main building is associated with a zodiac. There are 27 trees which are associated with the 27 constellations or Nakshatras. Those trees are of medicinal, social, aesthetic or economic value.

Herbal Garden


Around 300 various varieties of Herbal & Medicinal plants are planted in Herbal Garden situated in front of main block complex. It was inaugurated by Shri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan Hon’ble Minister for home ,Vigilance and Tourism in the presence of Shri. Jaccob Punnoose DGP , Kerala and Shri. B Sayed Mohammed Yasin IPS, IGP & Director KEPA. The project was undertaken in association with Kerala Agricultural University ,Mannuthy. 500 Nelly plants were also planted along with this. Marigold Garden,Jasmin Garden, Rambutan plantation and Mango plantation were also a continuing step towards Green Academy Project.

Vegetable Garden


With valuable guidance from the Agricultural University and using SRAMDAN from various trainees undergoing training at KEPA, a number of vegetables namely Broccoli, Cauli Flower, Cabbage, Carrot , Okra, Tomato, Bitter gourd, Snake guard and verities of Spinach.
