Detailed instructions regarding the submission of the applications are available in the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission www.keralapsc.org No application fee is required. The candidates shall keep the print out of their applications and the barcode number shall be quoted in all further enquiries/correspondence. Documents to prove qualification, age and community etc have to be produced as and when called for. Applications which are submitted not in accordance with the instruction given in the website will be summarily rejected.
Selection will be made on Battalion-wise basis. Candidates appointed to the Battalion will be allowed transfer only to the concerned Districts Armed Reserves.
If a written test /OMR test is conducted as part of the selection Hall tickets of eligible candidates will be made available in the website of the Kerala Public Service Commission. Candidates are instructed to download their hall tickets as per the instructions given in the website.
At the time of Examination, Physical Efficiency Test, Practical Test, interview etc, Candidates shall produce their Photo affixed ID proof in Original and self-attested photocopy of (Voters Identity Card,
Driving Licence, Passport, Identity Cards issued by Social Welfare Department to Physically Handicapped Candidates, Photo affixed Pass Books issued by Nationalized Banks, PAN Card, Identity Cards issued to Government Employees by the concerned Departments) along with Hall Tickets.
(2) Candidates are prohibited from applying to more than one Battalion on a same notification. Separate Ranked Lists for each Battalion will be published. The new list of selected candidates published by the Commission shall remain in force for a minimum period of one year and a maximum period of three years provided that the said list will not continue to be in force if a new list after the expiry of the minimum period of one year is published. Recruitment will be made for the above vacancies and also for the vacancies reported during the pendency of the list.

The upper age limit shall be relaxed up to 28 years for candidates belonging to other Backward Communities, up to 30 (Thirty) years for SC&ST and up to 40 years for Ex-servicemen.
Conditions regarding age relaxation in para (2) of the General conditions are not applicable to this selection.
Women and Physically Handicapped persons are not eligible to apply in response to this notification.
General :- Must possess SSLC or its equivalent qualification.
Must possess a current heavy duty vehicle license with badge. Driving License issued after 16.01.1979 must have endorsement both for Heavy Goods and Heavy Passenger Vehicles and the applications with only one endorsement will be summarily rejected (Vide amendment No. 47/78 to the Motor Vehicle Act)
Proficiency in Driving Heavy Motor Vehicles (to be proved by a Practical Test conducted by the Kerala Public Service Commission) Possession of licensee for driving Motor Cycle shall be a desirable qualification.

The proficiency to drive vehicles will be assessed by conducting a practical test. An ‘H’ test will also be conducted at any stage found suitable by the Commission. Only those who pass in the Ground Test (‘H’ Test) will be considered for Road Test
Candidates who qualify the Practical Test will have to produce a Medical Certificate in the prescribed form in original containing all relevant details as mentioned above from a Medical Practitioner not below the rank of a Assistant Surgeon. A Medical Certificate regarding eye sight from an Ophthalmologist in Government Service also will have to be produced. The prescribed form will be sent by the District Officer to the candidates along with the admission ticket for Practical Test. The prescribed form of medical certificates are given below.

The candidates will have to furnish full details regarding the driving licensee in the relevant column of the application form.
Candidates should possess a current Driving licensee at the last date for receipt of application and on the date of the practical test and advice.
Documents to prove Qualification/Age/Community etc. have to be produced as and when called for.
The physical measurement of candidates will be taken prior to the Practical Test (Driving) and those who do not possess the prescribed physical measurement at that time will not be admitted for the Practical test (Driving)
The candidates should produce a Medical Certificate in original in the form prescribed hereunder certifying to their physical fitness and eye sight without glasses at the time of Practical Test. The Medical Certificates should be obtained from a Medical Officer under the Government not below the rank of an Assistant Surgeon and Ophthalmologist in Government Service.
